In the several times I’ve moved in the past decade, I’m always winging it when trying to get a good moving quote to make sure I am not overpaying.

I have had little success with Illinois Moving Companies, the quotes vary tremendously and I’m not sure if the low quotes are actually from reputable companies. One company who moved my wife’s stuff from California to Illinois ended up taking my TV. Well, you will some, you lose some. From the money we saved we probably could have bought a new large flat screen TV, even back then.

If you have any suggestions for our next move, please post a comment. Thanks.

My husband’s family has lots of social workers, start from his Dad, then his brother, his sister and his brother in law. They all enjoy the social work that they are doing. I heard from them that you need to pass the social work exam in order to do the job, they have used socialworkguide.com to prepare for the exam, which they found is very helpful. The study guides contain chapters of material tested on the ASWB exams along with study questions to test your knowledge and practice tests to help you prepare for the actual exam. Maybe one day I will become a social worker, who knows, then I know that I will use the same website to prepare for my exam!

As a social working I am frequently moving around to different parts of the country. As a traveler, I frequently use MapPoint 2009 to plot my course and do navigation and route optimization.
