Lunch with Elsie Dixon in Hardin, Illinois at Mel’s River Dock Restaurant.  We’ve eaten here before and enjoyed it.  Al knows Elsie through his work at LCFS.  She ran the thrift shop and distribution center at the Hardin site.  Al has always enjoyed his trips to Hardin, especially because of his visits with her.

Elsie told us a few stories of people she has encountered at the distribution center.  One woman called in saying she was making muffins.  She had all but one ingredient and wondered if they might have it.  Of course, Elsie wanted to help this woman out and asked what it was that she was missing.  The woman said, “Yield 12”.
